Company Founded in the 1960?s, by R.R. Donnelley & Sons, in 1996 MapQuest.com launched the first interactive mapping site on the Web. Based in Denver, CO and Mountville, PA the company has three business segments: Mapquest.com, MapQuest Services and MapQuest Mapping Services. MapQuest.com was acquired by America Online, Inc. in 2000.

Partner Data Program: With the Partner Data Program, MapQuest feeds data to the AOL Local Directory, which powers all application that use venue or event information throughout AOL and its related properties.

Site Advantage:
This tool gives customers the ability to incorporate maps, driving directions and location search functionality into their Web sites. An XML interface provides platform-independence.

Advantage API:
Provides customers flexibility to build customized location enabled applications in several programming languages: C++, Java, COM (enabling Microsoft Visual Basic, ASP, ASP.NET), and ADP. A full API provides access to the Advantage feature set - optimized routing, style file management, geographic data management, multiple search paradigms, etc.

Advantage Enterprise:
A packaged location technology platform that allows installation of geographic servers and bundled data along with the complete set of MapQuest API's in the customer's own environment. Advantage Enterprise controls application deployment, performance and security in the hands of the organization.
